Swimming & Diving Wraps First Day At Hoosierland Invitational

The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving team wrapped up its first day of competition at the Hoosierland Invitational at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center. The meet continues tomorrow and runs through Sunday. Participating swim teams include Indiana, Louisville, Pittsburgh and Truman State.

The men's team fell 142-112, while the women's squad dropped a 146-112 decision to the Buckeyes. The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving team found success at the Golden Grizzley Quadrangular, Saturday in Rochester, Mich., the Bearcats first meet of the 2008-09 campaign. The women defeated Wayne State 200-100, but fell to Oakland (176-124), and Western Kentucky (218-82). The men's team narrowly missed knocking off Wayne State (155-141) and also lost to Oakland (189-110) and Western Kentucky (199-100).
